This is what I did. My M42 engine and 5-speed along with other parts were stolen by junk thieves. I called the cops and described everything, list all the items. About a week later, I picked up the report from police station and called my home insurance company. Since they were inside your property and not installed in the car, you are covered by your home insurance (or rental insurance). I made a list of stolen parts and their current replacement value, faxed it to insurance comp, and got a check in about week later. I know it doesn't solve the problem and I still feel violated but sometimes system works in your way if you can convince the insurance company (and have home/(renters insurance which is highly recommended).Stolen parts cost me $500, and I got a check for $1600. I would still kill the fuckers if I knew them. You can also deduct a portion of the value of stolen parts from your taxes if the new replacement value exceeds (which it will) what you get from insurance company. Just my 5 cents.

this is so much bullshit. if people ever did something like this where i came from they would be shot down in there tracks and burried in the hills. there is no room in the world for people who are not honest. i have a shop full of bmw parts that i have collected from cars i bought to part and my e21. i always bring people down to the shop because they can see if they want anything else. never have had anything stolen. then of course you see the no trasspassing sighn, smile for the camera, and my grandpa carring a gun on his hip. lol he is an old redneck. either way man i feel for you and i wish the best of luck with this scenerio. if your every down towards gettysburg pa shot me a pm

I am left speachless from the lack of basic grammer, formatting, and ability to express a single coherent thought in this thread.sigpic

Speechless* Grammar* ;)
I always have people meet me at the local police station. If they're serious about buying whatever it is I'm selling, they won't have a problem meeting me there.. If they do have a problem meeting me at a police station, then I will just assume they were up to no good anyway..
