no It can be blue, black or red, I used blue in my rendering to illustrate that it would be silicone.

^ i'm pretty sure my for sale thread of my last intake has pics of it installed on a M42..

I'm willing to make a turbo CAI setup also, how much interest is there? Basically I could oversupply the buyer with material so he could cut and modify to get a perfect fit.

here's my setup, its very functional and fits with no modification to the car. Also the compressor surge sounds pretty awesome echoing in the carbon fiber air box.

Its not really my style but I can offer the shield in a fake carbon look along with the ABS plastic version, the price would be the same regardless. The total should be around $100 for everything. These would have high quality silicone ducting, and nice SS worm gear clamps.

So here are some final images at least dimension wise. After selling real carbon fiber so long I don't really like the look of the phony stuff but I guess it adds some "bling" to the engine bay.I will have these in PLAIN BLACK ABS also.

These are available in 4" inlet/3" outlet and 4" inlet/3.5" outlet
These will be much louder than before and the filter is also much wider than before.
Silicone ducting will be here next week and then I will do the Final test fit and work out the bugs.

well I just ordered the silicone ducts, and this kits will likely be in the $100 range, maybe lower if I ended up ordering too much silicone or something. This new canister gains about 2" of clearance because it doesnt need a seperate coupler to attach to the MAF or AFM.

Doesn't look like the filter has that much surface area compared to others. Especially with the dome shaped thing at the end.
