    mmmm Alpina.

      525IX is a quite common car, up here in europe at least. But never heard of the Alpina. May be home made.

        I almost bought a 5 speed 525ix touring in VA. I test drove the car, left a deposit and the owner couldn't find the title.


        Needless to say I wasn't happy. I might email him to see if he still owns the car

            If it's "home made", they seem to have done a good job of it and the price is not out of the question.

              i did not know it had a 24v engine in it though.

              i thought the e34 525ixs were m20 based. seriously. i need to import one of these cars over as a parts car. s52 ix plzkthx&ty.

                the price is reasonable, but i don't think it is a real alpina. the engine isn't right. the alpina badge that is on that engine is the same as the one on the left side of the deck lid. real alpina 24v engines have an aluminum cast intake manifold that has alpina embossed on the top of the diffuser.
