@Janderson: I think the original picture probably was taken with a 14mm or some sort of fish eye. I had the same thought when I first looked at it, then went back and looked again and figured out why.



That pic would probably come across weird too.

OP: I think the lines are pretty simple actually. But agree their might be "too" many. Try 1 line for the windows and lights, maybe no shadow line on the lip, no tires marks, and no extra lines on the rim lip. Start there and see what you think. If it looks like shit in your opinion, then I'm an idiot.

Also, maybe a mug or something would work. Also I got a couple of the MotoSpirit shirts, which I love, and they just outlined. So everything black in your drawing would be white on a black shirt and black on a white shirt. The interior part would just be shirt color. I think thats the best.

CMC is a double edged sword. When I read Janderson's original post I thought he was ripping him a new asshole, but that was my take on it. No tone and body language to get a read lends to the imagination, which in this case was negativity. Come back with an alternate design.

Also if I may request, late model valance with early tails. Want a shirt to match my car. And something different for the licence plate, maybe MOARLOW or something.

Oh, good! You're one of those dickhead "artists" that can't take criticisms of their work, especially when they're constructive, not rude, much like you're acting right now. Not a single thing had to do with "the way e30's actually look". I was talking about how well it would work being printed on a t-shirt.

Get fucked. Good luck with yet ANOTHER E30 t-shirt design in an already saturated market.

And for the record, there's no apostrophe in e30s. It's not a contraction, and you're not talking about something that belongs to it.

So what can the OP take away from this thread?

1. There can be a market for e30 shirts, if you please your customers. That would be us. If we don't like the design you've created and spent so much time on, then I'm sorry, try again if you want to make any money on it or see your work being worn on people.

2. Take what people say with a grain of salt. You can't please everyone. What you CAN do is take the comments and suggestions and figure out if it's worth your time to re-do your work to make money.

3. While some of us older members on the forums can be a bit harsh and very critical because we have a sense that we "run this place" (some of us do lol), you just need to suck it up and grow a thick skin if you want to be a part of this place. It's no fraternity, but if you show you've got a good attitude, even when dumped on you will get much more respect because it shows maturity. Unfortunately that means nothing here.

Enjoy the forum. Do the above and you will be liked, maybe even on facebook if you're LUCKY.
