Someone sent me an E-mail with this pic. My question is wont mud/debris cause an unbalanced condition? What if a rock lodged in one of the openings? Needs some kind of skin covering, no?

I would think centrifugal would throw pretty much any and all debris out of the wheel. And as far as a rock getting wedged into it, how? It would have to be stuff in from the side by some outside force. I mean, on a regular tire, rocks get stuck in the tread because the weight of the car compresses down on it, but that isn't the case with this.
And even then, it's still better then having your tires shot/blown out.

And if you have ever driven with snow in your wheel, you would realize how just a little bit of weight can make your car feel like it's about to fall apart.

I can't say that rocks would get stuck in them, but i could definitely see mud getting stuck. But who knows, i am sure they were aware of this being an issue and have figured a way around it.
