soo, i will no longer own an e30

yeah, my little brother is buying it. i'm looking for an e28 or e36 325i. tired of e30's. need something a bit more practical for daily driving (eg- 4 doors, more comfortable).

i might just buy a camry or accord.

nearly put a deposit on a euro M535i, but talked to the guy some more and he said the paint was literally peeling off each time it got washed, and to "bring some extra relays, hoses, and belts with you for the drive home, just incase". so yeah...... i dont think i'll be getting that car. don't want something im going to have to work on too much or dump a bunch of money into.

wow, tired of the e30? is it not comfy enough for you? you must have a very delicate ass if it bruises under the posh (in comparison to a honda...) ride of a bmw. what makes you think you will like the e28 anymore? if you modify the suspension it will be just as uncomfortable as ur e30 and you will just get frustrated at the lower gas mileage and less responsive/light handling... plus the m20 sounds better than the m30 imo... as far as an e36 goes, if you get an earky model you are gonna have a lot of repair work to do cause they are all pretty tired by now... id say go for an e36 like a 98 or so 328i or 328is if you like the coupe... many of those come in automatics if that suits ur fancy since ur tired of driving a real car... plus they are nicely quick and smooth not to mention good looking...

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

bokes is just frustrated with the 318is' lack of power. he misses his m20. don't you. come here have a hug. if i come back from france and you are driving a japanese car i will personally drive down to hickory and give you a round house kick to the face with the same pants as the dude from napolean dynamite. got it fucker? now get a 325is and STFU.

youre a fucking idiot. sorry. i've had an 87 535is. it was 10x more comfortable than an e30. 4 doors > 2. eibach prokit, bilstein sport shocks, conforti chip, uuc ssk, high flow cat.

and e30's are pretty tired too if you ask me. i should just get a japanese car.

the m30 sounds MUCH better than an m20. more displacement rocks. the handling is just fine. not as good as an e30 but i'm not looking for that. after having 3 e30's, 1 e28, and an e34, i'm ready for something a bit newer or rarer.

I hear ya man. A year ago I got a Cherokee. I kept my bimmer, but the Jeep is much more comfortable and practical for day-to-day driving. Yesterday I fit a big garbage can and 4 tires in it and could still take a passenger.

it's not like i'll never get another e30. within a year i'll have another one that i can spend more time on and do what i want to it. can't do that right now with only 1 car, and i need a decent daily badly. my car has lots of miles and i'm hesitant to bring it on any long trips. plus i can't fit any passengers hardly.

I hear ya Bokes... thats why I stepped up to the E24 M6... rarer... more interesting... and with how nice of a driver it is it has made me hanker for an E28 535i 5-speed that I could put an E34 M30 into, and then with those same mods you mentioned turn it into a very slick ride.

Then again I almost creamed my pants at the E34 525i Mtriple is selling. But if you aren't liking the E34s thats cool... I'm also going to look for a nice 325is, or maybe 318is one of these days when my wife isn't watching over me ;)

Any old BMW you get is almost for certain going to need a shift linkage rebuild, suspension swap, and a bunch of maintenance done on the engine, but I'm sure you know that. Good luck with the hunt.

yeah, i figure i'll get a SSK, h&r/bilstein combo, and just do basic engine maintanence within the first few months of having it.
