Windows do they work

My e30 got broken into got my stereo jacked now I need a new driver side front window. I've found a lot of late model windows but not sure if they would fit mine. I have an 87 325i 4 door. Would a later year window work

i think it would if you swap EVERYTHING over.

but it would be a lot simpler to just replace whatever is broken with early model parts.

Same thing happened to me and I first bought an early model window, had to buy another late model one after I realized it wouldn't work.

You have to match the regulator style to the window glass style. Early vs late are two different styles. So to answer your question, yes. If you drop in a late style regulator too.

Not entirely sure they swap though. The only time I've seen an early model regulator in a late model car, I was unable to confirm if the whole door had been swapped or not.

Come to think of it. I still have the late model window I originally bought. I'll sell it to you but I'd be worried about shipping it.
