My IE mtr mounts, and some water.....

....just wanted to say that although I may have had some vibration/roughness due to my oe mtr mounts going bad( I wasnt really aware of it though), these IE poly mounts seem to make my car smoother and feel much more connected drivetrain wise..........good upgrade.

Heavy rains in NY over weekend and car was outside for a day....I noticed some water in left rear quarter panel recess when I opened trunk.....where could this be coming from......I did notice upon closing trunk, water ran out channels in trunk lid......?......tia!
I love sitting down and just driving!

The IE mounts are hardly as extreme as people on the forums make them out to be. They are very good.

yeah, i didn't really notice any new harshness. same as the BW tranny mounts. but both are improved.

don't mind Digi, he's an asshole. me too

i would have to agree that the IE mounts are a great imporvment. I have the motor and tranny mounts and they are badass!

while we're on the subject, how much does it usually cost for installing engine and transmission mounts?

I rode in the Heetermobile this weekend. Seemed like a decent ride with all of his hard-ass bushings and mounts. The worst part was the whine courtesy of diffsonline.com. ;)

It's easy enough to do in your garage, honestly. Just takes a jack, and the new mounts.

what? I don't have an engine lift. I don't see how it's possible to install them otherwise.

I borrowed a hoist, but if you are creative enough with a jack and wood I can see it possible. If you clear the 2-4 inches, slide in new mount and call it a day.

I did my engine mounts with no hoist. I used a piece of wood on the cradle of my jack and jacked up the engine from the oil pan.
