Seats appear to be E21 as mentioned a few times. They are not originals.

FYI, here is a link to decode any BMW vin including factory options: http://e30performance.info/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1671

edit: I think your reading your vin wrong, the last 7 match a different vin?

I just looked again and the number after the 9 is hard to read. Try running it with a 1 in place of the 2 so the last seven is 9162602

One other question I have is what's the difference between the us spec and euro spec grills? Does anyone have a side by side comparison showing the differences?

Euro has a line above the headlights.

Nice find. My first E30 was burgundrot, but it wasn't euro. :) I like the roll-up windows. ::thumbs up::

Nice find. There might be other 'gems' hidden under the surface as well. It will be interesting to see what gearbox it has and how the engine is set up... Very cool.

What should I look for with that gearbox? And what do you mean by how the engine is "set up"?

I doubt it has a dogleg box, or it would specify that on the build sheet. Unless someone swapped one in I suppose. Based on the build sheet its just a plain old 323i with the sport package that someone put a mish-mash body kit on.
