I think the real argument here is against the attitudes of the young people instead of these young kids actually having nice cars.

i see what you are saying,
but i feel bad if my parents try to buy me new tires.
if my parents literally told me they were buying me a car and i had to chose one, i probably would chose a .5k-1.5k e30 or other bmw just like i would with my own money.
my parents work hard for there money and i don't feel entitled to anything what so ever. i'm lucky they feed me and let me have a room in there house.

and these kids i was talking about,
there parent's both own/work in the food industry.
one of the kids parent's own a donut shop, and they struggled to stay in buisiness for a long time, and now there doing better.

the other kids parents own a stir fry resturant in vacaville.
her parents probably make decent money but not more than average.

my parents make a very good living, we own two homes, a shit ton of cars, and live a great life. my mom pays bills big time, but she also stowes away a shit ton of money.
i know i could probably prod and convince my parent's to buy me a 5k+ car (like my jackass sister did)
but i know what it does to them, and they know what it means to me to be as independent as possible.

    i just don't understand lol.
i would feel so guilty if i was driving a nicer car than my parents and they had paid for it.

if you can afford to ship your kid over seas for college you can afford those cars.

A college student from UMKC drives an orange GT-R, orange rims, maybe some minor custom work on the exterior (shaving emblems, etc.), and custom exhaust.

I figure it's just a matter of time before he balls it up some drunken evening trying to impress a gal.

            I don't think he's Asian, however. :-)

              -Land Rover LR3
              -Range Rover Sport
              -335i coupe
              -335i sedan

              -X6
              -GT-R (x2)
              -Mercedes C-Class
              -Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X MR
              -Mustang GT-500

              I know I'm forgetting a few more.

And just today a pack of them came in with a GranTurismo and a C63 AMG coupe. The kid in the AMG took two attempts at parking in between the white lines and still failed miserably. They then nonchalantly ordered a new set of PZeros for the Maserati that ran them more than two grand. Does anyone else that lives in a college town notive this trend? Maybe I just notice it more because, living in Eugene, we rarely see something nicer than an E92 M3 (god damn hippies and their Priuses).

There are greater inequalities in this world than Asian kids driving an F30 and you driving an E30. So live and let live.

I don't care those students who own and drive expensive cars..what I don't understand is WHY they only buy cars like Range Rovers, brand new x5, x6, 6, 7 series, GLK, C, E Class, Lexus, etc.

I mean, with all that money, they can get cars like 60s and 70s american muscles, vintage jaguar, porsche, MB from 70s, Japanese classics like datsun fairlady, AND 80s bmw as a DD. With money left they can pay mechanics to repair/maintain all of them. And when it comes to selling those, they get to sell them for the same price that they bought for.

I understand majority of people want new cars because they're comfortable and trouble free, but it's not like they have to worry about paying $$$ for repairing classic cars. And with the money they spend on brand new cars, they could get summer classic and DD.

I myself am Korean and I'm studying abroad in Canada but I haven't seen a single Asian student who drives classic cars, and they rather drive g35, m3, 350z.. and they always go to dealer to fix their cars even though they don't have a warranty.

My thoughts exactly. If they want to spend all of their money on an expensive car that they can't afford and fuck themselves later, that's their deal. I am fine driving an E30 and not having car payments, loans, etc.

All of the cars listed by the OP are parts cars. E30s are parts cars. I see no difference here.

Pretty sure if my mom was rich and she offered to buy me a 458, I'd turn it down out of respect for my peers.

Yea...no. They have the cash, why do you care that they flaunt it? How about instead of being a bitter child you accept that someone else was vastly more successful and gave their kids a cushy life because of that wealth.

Don't always assume they're just rich kids either, I have several asian friends who fresh out of school became VERY successful and were able to buy their own $100k+ cars.

Some people just simply have it like that some people simply don't. Just be grateful for what you have, expensive or inexpensive.

yes, except here it the middle eastern kids, although Im pretty sure my school pays them to attend the school so.

                              Rich or Poor

We give our time, money, and life to people/things we worship. Some parents worship their children...thus try to give them the best of everything. Many societies have made children their idol. Why do we go to different fast food places so that each children can get what they "want." Or spend 20+ hours driving them to soccer, karate, ballet, etc. Give our children cars, jewelry, monies. Why do we spend so much at birthdays, Christmas, graduation...that we are willing to go into debt. Are we buying their love? Believe me, parents are not going to say on their death bed that they wished they had given their children more things, no....they will wish they had been loved without trying to earn it.

i think your perspective is wrong. if i was a service writer and saw those kids coming in, im thinking new wheels to go with those p-zero tires, alignments, maybe new brakes too
