I occasionally roll along MLK blvd. next to a Maserati Gran Tourismo, its a great view. Nobody cares if they can drive or not. All kinds of people in the world with stupid high dollar cars can't drive, its life.

my dad always had money. always had a nice car in the garage(bmw's/porsche's/mercs)

he DD his f150 king ranch, he was set. did he give me anything? yes! a place to sleep and food to eat and clothing. if i wanted anything extra i could; A, do extra work around the house B, when i was old enough to work, get a job and pay for my own damn shit.

that's what i've been doing since i was 15. every car i've bought, all the clothes i have, everything, i have bought. hell, im even paying for my own college now. it is what is, but that's why when i see a dent in MY car, it wrecks me, yes it can be fixed, but its mine. idk, i dont have a lot, but what i do have i have worked for, and i appreciate it more than anything.

as far as others, props to them. i've had many, many rich ass friends. nice when at 16 another 16yr old kid lets you whip around in his m5 or we go do canyon runs in someone's nismo.

im more dissapointed in people buying these cars that are capable of doing incredible things on tarmac, and those cars never getting to experience their full potential. i guess i came off a bit errogant in my prior post.

I'm not annoyed that people have nicer cars than I do. I love my E30. Would I trade it for that GranTurismo? Hell yeah, but that doesn't mean that I'm not 100% happy driving my current car. It's simply weird to me, as a matter of principle, that these kids are just handed insanely nice cars that they don't appreciate, car barely drive, and are nothing more than status symbols. That just teaches them that they deserve to be handed things; that they don't have to work to get nice things because daddy will provide for them.

You can try to make this thread out to be about me bitching about the cards I was dealt in life, but that isn't the case. I'm extremely blessed to have the life I do and I don't take anything I have for granted. Those kids do, and that's my issue.

I understand completely; but I've been in both shoes. Had everything handed to me in life: but once I hit reality it hit me hard. That's why I started getting off my a$$, got a job, and started paying for my own beef. Why I bought an e30; so I can have a car under MY title that I can smash. Tired of driving around in daddy's whip and smashing HIS car. Don't have much anymore, but I feel darned well proud of myself that what I do have I earned myself; and it definitely made me see my parents in a new light and a renewed sense of appreciation

You know wishno87 is half japanese, and he has lots more cool shit then me, more cars then me, and generally more $ then me. He is also younger then me ( 21 ) Im 24. And the only thing that got him there was hard work.

So I would not say its all Asians. I am more disgusted when I drive by an e30 and there is some fag douche driving with a car full of his cronies, car beat to shit, not a care in the world, had bill pointed straight up, changing lanes with no blinker.
