    HRE Vintage Series.

I am excited for this. Discuss.

Inspired by the wheels of HRE’s history in the wheel manufacturing business, the Vintage Series is a contemporary take on the classic wheels from an era we…

        They're awesome but freaking pricey.

HRE continues to remain out of their mind.

Edit, Jim just posted some quotes...thats way too much for a set of wheels...no matter what they are.

Overpriced, wrong sizes, 454 looks like something FunFag would put on his car. Just not something that will appeal to anyone OTHER than Ferrari and Lamborghini owners. Also the sizes that these come in pretty much mean that these 'vintage wheels' will not fit on any vintage car without the use of rubber band tires.

for that money you could have nearly any true vintage wheel on the market...
if they were $3k new i could see them competing with the restored vintage wheel market, but those prices are stupid.

Maybe you should go over to HRE and say "Here I am, your next project development manager, you're welcome." I have a feeling the E30 crowd is not the intended market for these.

When I have a 458 sitting in the garage, I won't be able to buy those penta-stars quick enough. Not normally a wheel fan-boy, but, wow.

That Spyder is actually a rendering. They want to use my friend's 458 (coupe red w/black roof) for their official photo shoot. He's taking it to LA some time in March for it. I think they look pretty dope.

Yea, the sizes are unfortunate, but let's be honest. Who here would buy a set at 8k anyway?

Not to mention, since they dont stock smaller sizes in hardware/ parts, that would drastically increase the price on already expensive wheels, since they would have to source 16 & 17" parts for what, 10 buyers?

All the designs look great, and its nice to see companies responding to different tastes, even if this isn't a slam dunk for the e30 community specifically.

I like HRE's designs. Their old ones that come in e30-appropriate sizes use 20-bolt barrels and lips which is nonstandard, so I'd suspect they may have trouble sourcing those in reasonable quantities to justify actually offering them. So yeah, what Stephen said.

                            that said,

Stranger things have happened. Shoot, ECS tuning is pretty much begging to hire forum goers on BF. Google Mapped their location and they're in the middle of a bunch of farm fields!

Back on topic, hasn't Enkei came out with some vintage wheels recently. Also Ronal has a new Turbo look-alike, not sure on sizing though.
