I don't know about the dealership you take your vehicle too, but most BMW dealerships do a walk-around before the vehicle comes in for service. If they were there before it came in, they should be marked on it. I know when I pull a car in, I double check and note so I'm not held liable.

Rule #1 never let the dealer wash your car. Every time we take ours in for service we have the service adviser write on the ticket DO NOT WASH.
Looks like they washed your car with a broom.Need a Turbo manifold? We have them in stock- Click here---> http://rapidspoolindustries.com/

sometimes this board appears to be frequented by a bunch of retards
flame him for being pissed off
then
flame him for realizing he can't be sure who's at fault
there's only two ways the conversation could have gone and none of it has anything to do with being anyone's bitch
1. the manager showed him the paperwork noting the damage prior to service
or
2. the manager pointed out there's no way to be sure his guys did the damage but for him to come in and he'll put one of the guys on it and do what he can to minimize itDas ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!Comment

be careful...you really want to go down that road with me?
my point is this board comes across like a bunch of immature fuckwits that enjoy flaming people for the hell of it.
I'd think you'd realize that better than anyone unless I'm confusing you with someone else. but if you want to try and take up the cause agains that perspective then have at it...

Well played Rig. Haha I woulda gotten my whole car repainted.
Smooth, shit like this doesn't help...
"I noticed some really nice big scratches right behind the drivers side quarter window that are very very new to me. They were not there before we took the car in."
...."we both came to the conclusion they were there before the service"Comment

I was here from the beginning of the thread. I saw he was angry and me and a couple other people heard his concerns and expressed how that attitude wasn't going to get him very much action. he reconsidered so let it drop.
calling him a bitch or whatever other fucking bullshit some of the kids here thinks is funny is not. it's aggravating. but don't take my word on it, just let it continue and see where it goes. maybe you liked the slagging you endured on your thread but I don't think it puts us in a good light. save that kind of ass-grabbery for the off-topic and general chats or you're going to end up driving the older, more mature members with deeper pockets and better resources to other boards. that's my opinion but it's not a certainty. just an observation over the years.Das ist nicht nur nicht richtig, es ist nicht einmal falsch!Comment

This is the internet. Y so srs?
I agree, there's always someone that goes over the top. My thread was a perfect example, but the bottom line is who the fuck cares? I'm not going to cry over what some douche wad with a high post count and clever handle has to say lol.
It's just strange, and I think we'd all like an explanation which hasn't been delivered yet. As its been said before, I'd know if there were a substantial amount of scratches on my car. It's just strange how he dropped it so subtly and accepted the offer to have them buffed out.
And don't menstrate all over me, I'm not the one that said shit lol.Comment

Lookout Smooth is gonna e-punch you in your e-taint
1. It appears from the picture posted that someone had tried to compound and polish the scratches out.
Look closely at the area where there appears to be small fine white dots near the area around the door recesses. That means someone knew about those scratches and was trying to remove or " lessen" the damage.
2. There is a reason that the service advisor is in the position that he is in. Part of his skill set is to represent the dealership and convincingly talk you out of putting the blame on them. He is a sales guy at heart and what he is trying to sell is not holding them responsible for any damage that the dealership has caused. If he has alot of comped repairs on customers cars then it directly reflects on his compensation and bonuses. In his merit increase meetings he can now cite another client that he converted to just a buff rather than a full blown respray of the panel.
3. It was premature to post and try and defame the dealership. It was remedied by removing said defamitory postings. Remember "cooler heads prevail" and many times it is much more unnerving if someone is cool and collected in situations that would turn most mere mortals into rabid dogs. Cool and calculated thought and speech can be very persuasive. Ask me how I know.
My vote is let em buff it, become dissatisfied and then express that in neutral tones while telling the service manager you expect better results.
Good luck!Comment

^A re-spray just isn't the same thing on a new car.
AND NOOOOOO! WTF that car was spotless. At least I got to get in and say "Warp Drive: Engage" while she was untainted.
Dibs on the steering wheel when you part her out lol :DDrive it hard. Maintain it well.
