BMW also introduced the option of carbon ceramic brakes on the F12/13(the gold calipers are used on the M-carbon ceramic brakes, not blue), and they reduce weight by almost 43 pounds. Incredible.

People who are buying a brand new m6 over the m3 could be giving less of a fuck about the weight. This is a m5 with two less doors. A luxury car with huge balls of steel.
