Ok ok, what the fuck is up with hating on "vw" guys that come over to the Bimmer world? This is my first e30 and Volkswagen was my entry to the european scene, and that's what I've been into since I turned 16. BUT, I drove mk1s and mk2s. Your fan-boys drive mk3s and up. Most hipsters are going to drive newer cars because that's whats "cool" and what the bitches like, not old shit. If you go over to the vortex, all the pre mk3 guys hate on the newer cars, just like all of you hate on the newer generation BMWs. Just my .02

        If I wasn't driving an e30 I'd have either a 190e or a 3000gt vr4.

never liked fwd, don't want something so new I can't work on it, and it has to look good.

I love the idea of buying a car for under 1000$, rebuilding everything from motor to rubber on the road at under 4k, and having a very reliable yet fairly inexpensive and awesome machine.

I had been on the hunt for an e30 for a long time before I got mine. I too come from the VW world but it was honestly because the e30 wasn't in my price range at the time. I had a MK2 Jetta as my first car, but that was because I thought it looked like an e30 after I put the 4 headlight grille in it.

I had no idea that e30s had such a cult following until I finally got mine and joined R3V.

As far as being a trendy hipster...if the e30 is trendy, I'm trendy. If the e30 is no longer cool, then I am as well.
