I just sold this car, but I still have the plate of course. It will go on an E30 most likely when I find one I really want... although it fit on the M, not sure if it will really fit for an E30.
In cali, only personalized plates have O's and the format for state issue non commercial plates is number, 3 letters, 3 numbers. He said it fools the toll cameras all the time.

DRP-TOP on my old cabie
also had TPLS-E30 on the same car. The registy found just TOPLESS offensive so abbreviated the topless and added the E30.
I also had GT5-ONIT on my e39 530.
my friend has OHNO-50 on one of his stangs. The other has U-DIRTY.
I like "E30 FTW" because 99.99% of people think it's a random plate. Only E30 forum nerds get that it's a vanity plate.
A buddy of mine, who drives a 996 GT3 on Cup suspension and Michelin slicks, said he almost wrecked his car because of my plates. He was coming up on me in Corner 6 at Tremblant and cracked up so hard when he noticed "E30 FTW" he almost lost it. Mission accomplished LOL.
