Attempted R3V...no more IS lip

So while I was trying to leave the Great State of Arizona for the weekend, I managed to hit a tire while going 90mph. The whole left side of my car got air, my valence is trashed, my left fog light shattered (good thing I'm buying Pasha's this weekend), my IS lip shattered, as well as my splitter, and there is potential suspension damage and a bent wheel (however the car seemed fine mechanically, no pulling when I put on the brakes, and no vibrations from the wheels.

Hopefully I can buy Pasha's valence as well, and now I'm looking for an already painted IS lip (I'm lazy) and a splitter to fit it.

Now that I think of it, I'm glad I hit it rather than try to swerve going 90. I don't want to know what could have/would have happened, but it would have been worse than what has happened now (especially on a two lane highway).

Note: Vanos was replaced today for a total of $1270...it didn't do much. I guess the bent valve is that bad and is stealing me of 40 horses. Talk about PWN3D.

Damn dude, atleast things can all be fixed and you're ok. Glad your car is running, and with the vanos to be fixed there is always a positive.

Did the Vanos help at all, or do you have multiple bent valves? Doing some complicated mathematical analysis, it sounds like you're running on 5 cylinders...

I almost did the same thing. I was fucking with the radio, not paying attention for a moment, and came to a truck re-tread, straddled it, but it knocked my exhaust clamp loose and separated the rear section (..open headers).

Unfortunate about the lip though, hate to see one go. Hopefully you're suspension isn't tweaked, that would be a bitch for such a small incident.
