    buying new CAR! need advice!

some of you might have seen my car in my thread. well im thinking of selling my 318is and getting a 325i while i look for my perfect e46. i wanna own the e30's inline 6 before going to an e46.

however, this is the list of repairs to do:

1: stabilizer u bracket (?) he says its the bracket that holds the stabilizer link to the control arm. anyone have the part number for that?

2: control arm bushings (how long does it take to replace 4)

3: blower motor makes noise (no biggy)

4: AC needs refill (what could be expected costs)

5: heat works on setting 4 only...?

thanks for info especially on number 1

    2. Just buy new control arms, save the headache. And there's only 2. Rears are trailing arms.

    4. R12 isn't available (maybe in ca still is). So you will need to retrofit to 134a. Not worth the price.
    5. That's typically you blower motor resistor. Mine did the same thing. Easy fix.

      1: Rear? 33321127717
      Front? 31351127263
      2. Depends on what else you want to replace while you're in there. Might as well replace a lot more.
      4. Depends on lots of factors
      5. Resistor, when changing blower motor you can change this.

Oh and on #1, my new control arms came with the bracket attached. ( if I'm thinking of the same bracket)

There are some cheap kits by FCP on ebay for control arms, with all required brackets and bushings. It is pretty easy, you will just need a press for the bushings.

I like the lack of full interior, or cluster shots.

If you need to pay someone to fix 3 out of 5 proceed to step 6 on list of repairs

                      6. Broken wallet = no fun!

You do not have to replace the control arms to replace the bushings. If the ball joints (or their boots) are bad, thats another story...and yes there are only 2 CAB's. You really want to replace the bushing with the CA's removed. Lots of threads about doing this.
