Is that a body laying behind the car in the third photo? If so, he is probably dead... shoes came off..

The SO was airlifted to an area hospital, and in a wheelchair months afterward; she has a lot of metal in her legs and ankles now. My buddy was taken away in an ambulance and back on his feet in a few days. You can guess who was in the pass seat.

I've made the jump to e36's in the last few years. No regrets. Bought a 97 328is with low miles two years back. I have an H&R cup kit and m double spokes ready for summer. Pics to come once it stops being -30 degrees.

GG, hope you don't mind me taking this thread slightly off course here with different version of beauty, but not necessarily eye candy.

My friend Zach and his SO were involved in a 17 car pile up (including semi trucks).

They were in a 95 (I think) 318is, which did what it was advertised to do in a collision - the cabin is pretty much intact while the front and rear absorbed the energy. It's amazing that, in light of the E36s' rep for poor build quality, both ABs deployed after almost twenty years. While they did sustain injuries, by God's grace they survived.

I have a new respect for the E36.

both cars have (had) good snow tires on them, so that factor can be ruled out.

(i know this is the eyecandy thread, but figure if e36 owners are hanging out anywhere on r3v, it's here.)
My E36 M3 is a beast in snow despite stiff coilovers, track pads, and low clearance. Not as good as my subaru, but when both have snow tires the M is quite usable. In your case, ASC is not helping, but go get 2-4 75lb sandbags and put them right over the rear axle. Helps immensely (worked on the E30 too). You have the tires, just need a little more rear weight. If your tires are more than a couple seasons old though, it's time for new ones. They age out well before they wear out.
