    98 saab 900

Heres some competition for your merkur dollars

have not seen the car yet but im really interested

believe it or not i have heard saab is one of the easiest clutch jobs ever made. You can do it without removing the transmission. Im not making this up, its sort of like a cd tray you put in with the clutch depressed and out it comes.

this is a 4 cyl non turbo

the 98 is also the last year of the 900, last year of the swedish parts and design. Could be collectible although might not.

the replacement is actually called, the 99 and the 94....

I think the trans shares parts with some Saturns and the Cobalt SS. Or that could be the 9-5 trans...

Seriously, if it's one thing I hate about E30's its when they land flat on their roof! :(

I made the mistake of clicking on this thread, even after seeing "SAAB" in the title. I then clicked the link, again, my bad. I'm going to go home a vomit a little, maybe chastise myself for giving into temptation. I knew better, Yahweh forgive me, for I have sinned.

well how often would you see a 98 bmw 318 that needs a clutch for 1000?

the owner will take payments even.

                I wouldn't buy a '98 318 for $1.

I would, Id sell it for at least 4k as a dump it off price.

Maybe the 90s wasnt the heyday of euro sedans Im not positive. But theyre worth something.

Saab 900 is a very nice car. hard to even compare it to a 318 its better.

                            SADLY!!! SADLY SADLY

this is not a saab 900 classic, which ends in 93. 94 for convertibles.

this is a saab 900gm, which although assembled by saab uses opel drivetrains.

There is no magic clutch disc changer thing.

I read that same article and it sounded cool. Nothing to do with this 98 clutch, which will be a very standard fwd clutch repair, extremely difficult.

this is the 900s model. 2.0 liter 133 hp. 5 sp.

almost base however there is also a 900i.

certainly wont beat my e30 in any kind of race. Hearing about the specifics and getting ready to try and put a deposit on it.

"classic" Saab 900 has brakes that fade VERY easily.

Front wheel drive:yawn: The shame of Europe.
