88 Acura legend, V6 with a 5speed. Drove the piss out of it, chirped 3rd, it rocked.

1988 Mazda B-2200... hand-me-down. It was a POS, we donated it to charity for a tax write off about four years ago. There is no way in hell we could have sold it.

My first car was the one you see below, the car that supposedly doesn't belong to me yet - but, umm, who's paying for maintenance? Well, my dad bought it for me for $2600. He said it was an awesome deal, but looking back now, I think we paid a bit more than needed for it. Oh well.

Had about 159,500 when purchased, jsut passed 163,700 not too long ago. I've put over $500 of my own money into it since August of 03 (when we bought it). I'll be putting in a lot more not too long from now.

Supposedly, the carwill go to my brother when he starts driving - ha, not if I can help it. If need be, I'll buy that car from my dad when I have the money, exactly for what it's worth (maybe minus the amount of money I've put into it.)

So, I'll be putting my sweat and blood into this car, it is definately not going to my brother so he can put FOX and Sobe stickers all over the windows - ahh!!

I got my license last year right before Christmas - but, I drove my dad's 1990 535i until I got my own car, August 18th of 03. So, I'm a BMW fan for sure. :) personally, my 325 is more fun to drive - if my dad's 535i was a 5 spd, it'd probably be different. ;)

84 318i that looked like.. junk. But hey, it was free!
Yup.. I'll try to give you the short version of the story.

We get this call from my moms sister and she's like "I'm sick of this car sitting in our yard, if ya'll don't want it, I'm giving it to GoodWill." At the time, we knew nothing about BMW's.
My Uncle works at BMW of Arlington (VA) and apparently he had gotten it for dirt cheap about 3 or 4 years before that and it had just sat. He never even had it running.

My dad drove the 3 hours up to Arlington with our suburban and a uhaul trailer and brought it home. He had planned on using it for a project for school (teaches highschool automechanics) but as it sat in the yard and we tinkered with it, I started to REALLY like it. It had everything imagineable wrong with it, but I didn't really care. I had continually dopped hints and finally my dad is like "OKay, sure, you can have it."

Anyway, that was 3 years ago and after about 2000$ and too many hours to count later.. the car is gorgeous and runs great too. So the story has a happy ending.

If you read all that, you just wasted a lot of time ;-)

1981 oldsmobile cutlass supreme.. complete with a seriously anemic 3.5l V6 and 200,000 miles. that thing was so damn slow! but it was only $500 bucks. a good starter car, I ended up putting it in a ditch anyway. ;)
