I used to be good friends with this kid, he was Big into BMWs, while not working on them, he loved his car(s).
He ran into life problems, him and another friend (My best friend) fought one night about some previous drama, my friend left the work sight , setting up a computer network at an up class restaurant deep in the RI woods,while he never really admitted to drinking, his parents said the police said he was three times over the legal limit. Plus he was on Zanex
never was prosecuted for this one.
E34 535i Into a tree at 70 MPH (Estimated)
He walked away from that....Only a bruise on his head. Made it too his girlfriends Prom two days later.
a few months later he saved up and bought another E34 535I 5 speed. Beautiful car. He was so excited to get a new car and finally be back in a BMW. Two weeks into the ownership of that, he was reported going 80 MPH down a local road here in Newport,(Keep in mind a very busy residential street) and hitting a Stone wall. While drunk. While probably not at 80 MPH, the pictures speak for themselves...
I just found the car today in a local Junkyard. This probably happened about a month ago. I assume it was being held as evidence.
Before...
Today.
And after a broken wrist, a couple of broken ribs, and a punctured lung...hes back to work. I havnt hung out with him since a week before The recent accident. He did get charged this time as his car landed in the front yard of a Newport mansion.
Just shows how tough these cars are.
