    Mechanic Labour Cost

I know this topic has been talked about in threads before and I briefly recall a similar thread but I searched and can't find it. We've talked about gas per gallon/liter, cost of parts, etc. and I know the majority of us wrench on your own cars, BUT, this is all about the title; Mechanic Labour Cost

How much does your go to garage charge per hour of labour?

I'm in Eastern Canada and the cheapest I've found is around $65 an hour. Granted it's a small province with a 500k population and old import cars are few and far between. $65 an hour is the best price I've been able to find for a competent mechanic. What kind of prices are you guys paying?

    Cheers,
    Aaron

$90 an hour. European specialist but theres mostly E10s and E30s getting tracked prep. The rest are new M3s, X5s and Audi 4s getting maintenance.

I just do all the work myself, except for machine work on an engine or tire balancing. Don't exactly have the machinery for that.

Best way to save money anyways.

We charge $77 an hour. Up from $75 when I started here a year ago. Seeing as dealers charge from $120-150, we're creeping up slowly so as not to shock our usual customers.

$129/hr here at the Porsche dealership and it's kind of slow right now.

When I was working at a BMW/Merc/Audi shop before, the labor rate was $75/hr and we were always busy.

I normally bill @ $95 an hour. Luckily I get a sweet discount on my own labor.

We charge 75 to 80 an hour. Cheap for Atlanta.
                              My "hook up" rates are:
$55 leave the car and don't come back til I call.
$75 if you want to loom over me and suggest things or ask questions.
$95 if you want to help (which designates you as a shop bitch and you will probably be taking a shitty parts car apart).

Sweet jesus! Lemme guess, he is a million years old, owns the building, has a ton of cars he could build and sell in a minute if he needed to, genuinly hates his wife and doesn't want to go home?
