I forgot to post this. Theres a good chance it already has been posted, but its more relevant because its about to hit the street this year.

Crown vics are no longer being made.

next full size cop cruisers are based on the bmw 7 series.

I'd imagine the Charger and Caprice would be a bit more prevalent than those just based solely on maintenance costs/ease. Just a guess though.
    84 325e - 91 325i - 92 318 touring - 91 Trans Am - 01 S4 avant - 03 S-type R - 96 F350 - 15 SS - 84 Biturbo - 91 Defender

I had thought the caprice was already discontinued.

The charger is too small but it is the band aid model. This is the caddillac model youll see them trickle in starting this year.

The Carbon E7 is NOT based on a BMW chassis, it is only using a BMW Clean diesel driveline. ;)

          Straight from the companies FAQ-
"Will the E7 be built on an existing vehicle platform?
No. In order to meet the majority of the needs and desires expressed by the market, it is necessary for Carbon to develop its own proprietary vehicle platform, purpose-built solely for law enforcement use."

eh personally I don't think Angel Eyes don't look that good on e30s. If anything I would get Euro Smilies with the build although I'll probably get those on my daily first.

Commodores/Statesman are rebadged Opels built on standardized GM platforms.

Holden is part of the GM conglomerate.

They sell fancy muscle cars there because australians still have money unlike americans.

heres some more bmw cop info.

BMW is among the most used police cars world wide. Official use in the uk( bmw is the largest car manufacturer in the uk its true) germany austria czech etc.

It is the orignal diesel cop car that carbon is trying to bring over here.

Not a good race car like a crown victoria interceptor, but cops dont race with ferraris over in the uk and more importantly taxpayers arent down with 500$ per day gas bills.

tax free diesel in europe is no different than over here its like around 2$ a gallon.

Uhh, buddy? You're way off the mark with that one. And the standardized platform you speak of? It's a Holden platform that is used worldwide, not the other way round! The Commodore is Australian designed and built (Statesman doesn't exist any more), it isn't a re-badge. It is sold in other countries by different General Motors brands though. Everything else in the Holden lineup - Cruze, Barina, Captiva, etc - they're all rebadges, but not the Commodore.

                          To say all that....I can't stand GM-H!

Did you actually just describe a crown vic as a race car? Have you ever driven one? They are among the slowest vehicles on the road, short of the total econoboxes.

And, uh, the notion that an Aussie Holden is fancy is pretty hilarious.

Every single Commodore/Statesman variant up to the VE is a rebadged Opel. The VE still uses a foreign drivetrain and the Zeta platform isn't a lot different to the V platform. GM probably just took an existing '06 V platform and upgraded the suspension.
