of the c7?
Ya actually I was comparing it to uk cop cars.
Theres a lot about those specs on their website that sound like BS to me so Im not quoting them.
they say their cop car weighs 4000 pounds.....?
anyhow for top speed the number is more the horsepower, the weight and the wind resistance actually.
If they are comparing a 4000 lb vehicle to a 7000 pound vehicle whatever.... lol... it would keep up.Last edited by stamar; 04-04-2012, 01:03 PM.

so I think 4000 lb cop car is sort of a fairy number.
Really a 7 series cop car would weigh um.... within 500 pounds of a crown vic cop car. its just missing the 70 style huge trunk

Stamar sometimes it's better to stop running your mouth while your ahead. Should try it instead of using the google machine and arrogant talk to backtrack over your originally misguided posts. Just a thought.
And there's a reason why most police stations have multiple cars. They're not all ran 24 hours per day with $500 daily gas fees. it's a good thought tho. Have you ever wondered why there's such a thing as state police, county and city? It helps cover areas more efficiently and makes it so one squad car isn't roaming a large distance 24 hours per day.
As far as the "childish remarks" about who makes Holden, or the largest manufacture in Europe, it brings an air of legitimacy to your posts when the actual facts are listed not guesstimates. I'm done.
Chargers and tahoe squad vehicles are popping up everywhere around here now. I'd be surprised to see one of the three lose the contract.sigpic

No they are not all run like that.
Some are.
the ones that are. Cost 500$ or more a day. Its actually right in the carbon site its their main selling point. They have a counter on how much money diesel saves.
Is there any way I can get the people who like to argue about whatever to make their own little club and argue with eachother? Haha

Bmw are cop cars in the uk and germany.
The concept is they are much more effecient and to try and apply that to the us.
Ha I dont always have time to look everything up.
Thats what youre for if you have time.
I had never heard that nissan was the largest manufacturer in the uk but bmw is among them. I had heard that bmw was at one point actually between minor and rover but its out of date. Thanks for looking that up. I mean it doesnt really matter but having it correct to date is always nice for the next discussion....
Interesting conversation. The 2nd post was just some thoughts some were wrong. If you have something to contribute go for it.For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.

haha I went so far as to say bmw is the largest manufacturer in the uk, which is out of date.
I didnt actually look up who is at the moment because I dont care. I still dont care can you come up with a reason why I should?
But it was wrong I stand corrected and Im glad I was.\
What is my argument? I dont actually have any sort of argument at all actually. Are you arguing? I like the people who like to argue like teenagers to sort of find their own little hole somewhere actually lol.
I dont actually have an argument to invalidate. Someone may have read into that, lets argue about who manufactures the most cars where!!!! But I dont care Im not actually a part of that argument thats one or more people arguing with themselves. I must have been misinterpreted.
And then as a side argument someone wanted to argue about holden with someone from australia. LOL. Where as Im positive it has very little to do with the bmw cop cars.
I dont know what to call the phenomena, the need to contradict irrelevant facts. Doesnt go anywhere. I can remember being the same way when I was a teenager but it was actually before I was a car owner that I outgrew that stuff.Last edited by stamar; 04-04-2012, 01:28 PM.

If I come off as argumentative, it's because I'm tired of reading your misinformed opinions that you confuse as fact. And why don't you state a fact that changes MY opinion or challenges MY view instead of requesting me, the reader, to challenge yours. I'm done here.sigpic

"stamar has now been successfully added to your ignore list. You will now be returned to where you were."
and to stay on topic- some actual fuel consumption data for police vehicles comparing hybrids to the competition.

kershaw has been on my block list for weeks.
I only see his crap when someone quotes him.
And I think thats something the board software author should work on ;o)
I asked him to stop posting in my threads long ago I dont care about his opinions.
there might be a couple more that I would block but he really stood out as the only one on r3vlimited that has no purpose.
Just a board lurker looking for someone to argue with for hours to fill up his meaningless life.
people who dont like respectfull discussions and go straight to teenage argument Id rather you put me on the ignore list.
I spend my time responding to messages addressed to me when I have it but I can see its pointless with some. I think of it as polite to respond, but ill work on skipping the ones who arent up to my standards of a friendly discussion.Last edited by stamar; 04-04-2012, 01:57 PM.

I'm going to try and add a little bit of fact to this... :D
"Carbon Motors Corp. announced last night it won't get a U.S. Energy Department loan it applied for in order to develop more fuel-efficient police cars. The Connersville, Ind.-based company said today it had asked for $310 million in financing from the Advanced Technology Vehicle Manufacturing program. "We are outraged by the actions of the waffleswaffleswaffles and it is clear that this was a political decision in a highly-charged, election-year environment," Carbon Motors CEO William Santana Li said in a statement on the company's Web site."
