    New User, correct place?

New user here. I am helping a lady friend repair a 1997 318I. Was wondering if this is the correct year/model for this forum?

If so, I will be asking alot of questions as Ive never worked on a BMW before, mostly GM and Dodge products. This car needs quite a bit of work before it goes on the road.

    So, correct place?

Try that one too. They are very nice and helpful on there.

I would say you could use your e36 to part out to an e30.. but it's an 318 so it's pretty useless for the engine. At least we can use the steering rack.
