I was waiting for that one.

Besides the fact that the Ferrari in Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a 1961 Ferrari 250GT California, and the one I drove was a 1966 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 V12, you overlook the fact that the only reason I'd make it up is to impress you guys, and we all know how important THAT is ;)

I may go back just to get a taste of that E60.

I've always thought the 5.0 litre V10 to be very small for a V10, and while it's making 100 more hp than the E39 M5, it still makes the same tq numbers. Was it a very noticeable power difference from the E39?

              Dude, WTF!
That was around 2pm, because the car only sat there for an hour before I took it upstairs to my stall... did you come in today, or did someone send you a pic with their phone?

Definatly a different feeling powerband than the E39. I would say the low-end grunt of the E39 is more noticable, but the top end of the V10 has it beat easily. Around town, the cars feel the same (as far as speed is concerned) but the E60 would smoke the E39 if you had the road to do it on.

The car actually belongs to a photographer I know. I saw your thread tonight and was like "Wait...doesn't Ryan live in Santa Barbara?..."

Kim (the owner) sent me the pic this afternoon. When I saw your thread it immediately clicked.

I had a good fapping at my office when he sent the pic.

Is the powerband more S14 or S54 (i.e., more or less broad than the E46)?

That is a silly question. OF COURSE I DID!
I would say the powerband is more like an S54, but feels like an S14 in that the power really comes on strong at high rpm (5,800+RPM)

i think the idea of a v10 backed by a 7 speed smg comes from f1 racing. Except in formula one the v10's are about 3 liters i believe? Its just funny that they put this package in a sedan.

Did you get to fly through any corners? Thats where that M5 would really shine.

I cant wait for the day when I can drive the e60. Im pretty satisfied with the feeling of my e34 for now, but when i get the money...
