Lots of people use dish soap actually.

I knew about the wax too... Any advantages to using a "car soap" other than that? preferences on soap?

Meg's gold class is decent for otc stuff, but if you wash your car often, I'd highly recommend ONR, a sheepskin mitt, and two buckets (very important, especially with ONR).

Exactly what I use. Great stuff, most detailers swear by it, and it takes no time at all.

i use the rain-X stuff from wallyworld. with all the beads in it.(cant think of the name) usually works perfect for me.

I'd be scared about the wax beads not fully dissolving lol. I had some of that stuff (it's blue iirc) years ago..I remember it got really thin and watery after a while and all the beads melted. Fwiw I didn't buy it, I probably wouldn't.

For this, dish soap. Let it sit for a while, be careful, and spray it off often.
