I wash mine with Meguiar's gold class with microfibre wash mitt. And oral-b toothbrush for euroweaves.. but I'm thinking of using my old electric toothbrush on them.

I use the BMW soap, costs nothing from work. seems to work good, but the meguiar's always left the car feeling smoother.

You use dish soap before your going to wax your car but not as a common wash use. I use turtle wax ice car wash

Meguiars Gold Class shampoo is what i use then Meguiars Liquid Cardoba wax, all i have to say its time consuming to wax the car, but if you really want it, it wouldnt be a problem

Anyone have experience with Zymol wax? considering buying one from Wal Mart

Gold Class or Griot's on BMWs

Turtlewax Ice on the Subaru because Subaru paint sucks.

I use turtle wax Ice, it works pretty well. That pink Meguiars shit too, but the picture on the front of the family washing the car has always bothered me, so I stopped using it.

Most of the time i use 20 grit sandpaper, its basically just a rock glued to a piece of paper, but oh man does it work!

I used to detail cars in excess back in my show car days. I attended a detailing forum once where we were told never to use dish soap on a car when washing. They suggested P21S or Meguiar's Gold Class. Since the P21S is too damn expensive, I use the Gold Class and really like it. A jug will last me about 6 months and I wash my car at least once a week.

This is also a great thread to check out if you haven't already:

you only use it before paint correction. It weakens the paint or clear

On my 2002 I just park it facing West/NorthWest as that is the direction the storms come from. Hell, the car was painted with a rattlecan.

The E30 hasn't been washed in over five years as it has lived in the garage during it's 'reconstruction' phase.

On my wife's car (new Mini) I really like meguiars paint products, although I am now using a SimpleGreen car wash soap. (Not regular simple green) Time to treat her car to a new wash mitt as well.

I have used Zymol stuff (mostly leather TREAT) way back when Chuck was probably filling the bottles by hand. Later on, I bought some of the Zymol stuff being sold at Target- it is NOT the same stuff. Same deal, I really like Meguiar's stuff, but not their leather and vinyl treatments. Back to Lexol and 303 now.

the zymol wax you buy directly from them is fantastic. the stuff off the shelf is OK but not great.

Duragloss 901 is what I've been using as of late. Great stuff, highly recommend it if your car deserves a good product.
