While on the topic of jacks, has anyone tried out Harbor Freights newer steel floor jacks? I was looking at this one:
It's $5 cheaper then their cheapest aluminum one, has a higher capacity and best yet, sits 5/8" lower when all the way down and raises up 5-1/4" higher. Granted it weighs 40lbs more, but I really don't find myself picking my jack up much, just rolling it around, so it's kind of a moot point.
Judging from the pictures as well, the lowered section seems to be longer then the aluminum one as well, which means you can reach farther under the car before hitting the frame/body.

Got that one for 39 onsale! and wondering...what do you need a low profile jack on a 4x4 e30? Will that jack reach?

I have the biggest harbor frieght aluminum one that I got on sale for $105. Love that thing.
He wishes he could have a larger aluminum jack. I wish he didn't put a plow on his tracker.
