101 Performance Projects For Your Bmw 3-series 1984-1998??

    Has anybody purchased this yet??
How useful is the info in it??
How much of it relates to the E30??

I considering picking this up but then I noticed the years it covers.
I have visited my local Chapters stores, and noone has it in stock.
I am reluctant to order it online and find out that 10/101 projects
relate to E30s or that the info is completely useless. I have also,
believe it or not, used the "search button" here and on other sites
    to no avail.

Any input would be greatly appreciated......

well the cover has 3 E30s on it (and an E46M3?).. and I can imagine that most of the stuff you can do to an E36 you can do to an E30 (basics, suspension, timing, fuel, etc). I have the feeling it's more of a general tuning manual for the 3 series rather than a step by step of every modification you can do to your car. I searched for it on amazon but they don't have the search setup for this book.

isn't that pelican parts' new book?

I'm a fan of the Pelican Parts tech section.

I'd probably buy it if just about everything weren't already done to my car.

LOL jk... anyway, no i havent seen this book yet. I have been to barnes and nobles and they have a book that is called "bmw 3 series: The definitive sports sedan" and it has a few little modifacations in it.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

Dang....I was really hoping someone else had already bought it. I guess I will bite the bullet. It is only $30CAD, and it is payday. I will post a review if I do get it. Thanks for the replies......

We have been hitting up Milwaukee but they are pretty snooty so we might have to settle for DeWalt

I would pass, its probably a good book but I would doubt it is very techincal or else you would have heard about it before. Like Robbie Bentely manuals.
                Im now E30less.

I had the 101 book for 911's. Its was great. Tons of mods done step by step. Well worth the money.

But I don't think the e30 book is out yet.

You can pre order it at pelicanparts.com or get it at Barnes&Nobles when it comes out.

The book isn't out yet. However, a lot of the book is already on the Pelican website. Really, between this book and the Bently, there's really nothing more you'd need (besides r3v :)) to fix up your e30s.

90% of this board goes the half-ass route when it comes to mods and maintence. Everyone wants an ebay special instead of buying quality parts, and then wonders why the e30 aftermarket has dried up.

What's this guy doing that's any different?
