Technically still an E30. I remember reading about these a while back when I was researching a Z3. BMW seemed to kill off this and the 8 series without much intention on bringing either one back (like the 6 series, for instance).

$70k may be the right price for someone else, but for me? No thanks. I would take a pristine Testarossa for that price. lol

they'll be a bit cheaper here in a couple years. You'll be able to pick up a nice one for $30k

Munich Evo has a red one in storage. Interesting car, cool that its underpinnings are E30 based. Just not worth $70K unless you're RICH!

theres an owner of one who posts on bimmerforums, and he got his for around 25k which is what they go for at auction, or between 25-30k.

whats weird about this is in japan they have lhd vehicles but that one is rhd.

there were lhd z1s but they are very rare, maybe worth 70k im not sure. but the vast majority are rhd and were sold in germany.

Also, where's obligatory Top Gear footage?

I think that's one of Clarkson's DVD specials, not an actual episode of Top Gear.

I used to see one when I was in high school driving on the Autobahn....in the summers, he'd have the doors down. Looked pretty damn neat....not $70k neat, but not a bad looking ride!

There was one at GutenFest last year in the light yellow/green color - same as in the video. Really cool looking car, I hate the alpina wheels on this one though.

Judging from the Alpina wheels it has I'd say it's 5 lug. Unless the PO did a 5 lug swap

                        I'd fuck with a Z1 Dash/Console conversion in my E30...

I've seen one here in Bellevue, and another in Kirkland. The 1 of 6 thing is bs, just like the price. Cool ride though.

They drive and sound like an E30 too haha, I'd like to own one someday but it's pretty far down the list. There's a green one around here that was "for sale" at one point.

I would own it if I had an extra 70k to spend and just store it for another 25yrs
