    2.3l e30?

So we just bought this car last week and i noticed that the engine info sticker says its a 2.3L not a 2.5. The title states that it is a 1990 325i. The car is an automatic, it does not have anything euro about it. I'm confused because i thought all N.A. cars came with either a 2.5 or a 2.7. the vin is WBAAA2317LAE72941. Anybody have answers. The car is at my shop right now so i can't go outside and check anything. The kid we bought it from said that the guy who sold it to him told him"the car is originally from germany." I told him that all e30's were originally from germany because they were made there. Now I'm not so sure. The car does not have euro grills, it does not have euro gauges, it doesn't seem to have euro anything.

have a picture of the engine? There were very early m20s in the e21 323i. It had a crank driven distributor on the left side of the engine.

i know its a 2.5, just thought that was weird that the sticker labeled it as a 2.3L. Anyone else seen this on their under hood engine catalyst sticker?

Replaced sticker during a collision repair and they received the wrong sticker from whoever supplied the parts...?

No accidents that i can see evidence of, doesn't mean it didn't happen though.
