Bumper conversion cost. How much. Hard?

Hi, I've been looking for the right E30 for some time (2 door or conv, not decided yet) but they have to have the newer look(plastic bumpers). So, my question is how much it runs to convert the ugly Al. bumpers into plastic (found a nice 88 coupe) too much work? It's a nightmare project?
I read the convertible is a straight swap true?

You're in luck if you found an 88 with the aluminum bumpers. Late model plastic bumpers are a direct swap onto the 88, no modification required whatsoever. All you need is a set of plastic bumpers, and you can bolt them right on.

is this on an 88? if so it's pretty much a bolt on mod, 88's and later share the same body.

Yup the drop top and all 1988+ E30s are a straight swap to plastics. Also have you considered the euro chrome bumpers they have a slim design and fit the car rather nicely.

Try your best to get an 88 or newer. Thats all I have to say. :)
