The never ending cycle of modifcations

I'm just thinking where it's going to end or when it will be perfect.
I finally got my car just about the way it should be to be a reliable daily driver that's still fun, decently comfortable, quiet, etc. I have somewhat high standards so any awkward noise/vibration/rattle annoys the piss out of me and those are all gone. I can get in my car and drive it as far as I want and I'll be decently happy and I won't have to throw money at it anymore.
    Nope.
I'm getting new wheels soon from F3AR that are 225's all around and I have no power steering, I'm 195 all around and moving my wheels is pretty easy but I'm sure with 225's itll be a bitch. So I'll have to add power steering. but on top of that, why not upgrade to a Z3 rack while I'm in there? So I'm going to have to get that too. But on top of that why not get new tie-rods and control arms since I have a little bit-but not too much- play in the wheels?
It's never going to end :(
Any of you guys like this?

have your car long enough, and previous "mods" that were performance upgrades to you at the time, will either wear out, become obsolete by something much better, or you'll just get tired of them.

I'm on the 3rd version of my suspension and I'm working on a 4th "upgrade" and there's always something better. Same with the motor.

actually, lately I've found myself "de-modding" certain parts of my car..

I was just thinking of it just now. The long road and long list of things to do along with all the money needed....does not make me feel good.

I think its more of a "While Im in there"

Like my coil over installation actually turned into a front end overhaul.

And the new tranny Ill be putting in will get new shifter bushings, a short shifter ETC.

Yes, that absolutely happens....and you also find stuff. Like changing my oil pan gasket, lead to replacing power steering reservoir and lines, belts, motor mounts, etc....

Any car will feel slow and soft if you drive it enough.

It never ends. Once you get bored/done with the current one, you just move to another car and the cycle starts again.
