My Escort Passport has saved my ass many times over the past year and a half. Even though the Valentine may be better when I am picking them up a minute or more beforehand I am plenty satisfied.
    Im now E30less.

I use a Bel 980. It's quite good considering it was only $160. That is until it started doing that thing where every time I hit a bump it tells me it's picking up a Ka Band signal. I was going to get a Passport 8500 x50 but after reading so many votes for the V1 it seems I should go that route. Now if I can get the fine of my speeding ticket reduced I might be able to afford one!

For half the price of the V1 I love my Belltronics detector. It has saved my ass plenty of times and gives me more than enough warning.

My V1 has saved me enough money to buy 5 of them

            V1 hands down.

Just got a V1 a couple of weeks ago to replace my diing Bel. I thought my old one picked up a lot of crap, but not compared to this one...seems to work really well though. Better more crap than not enough cops. You can filter out the crap, but I haven't gotten to play with the settings much.
              Crap.

Never fails though, when I don't have a radar detector I get pulled over.

V1 in my father-in-laws Denali... fucking amazing. I had to help him set it up because it does have a lot of settings, and it can give you a good amount of false positives. But when it is sure you're being targeted, it lets you know it. My FIT told me it saved his ass 3 times going down to Florida from Pennsylvania.

I prefer to just keep my wits about me but even my concentration can lapse from time to time. V1 is the only choice if you have the money. And if you don't, wait, save up, and get the V1.

Yup, I rarely speed much more than 10 over, which is relatively safe around here (knock on wood), but I still love my V1.

                      heh @ me.

V1... i was in a carravan of about 18 cars, leader with a v1 and follower with a v1. 100+ from baton rouge to houston, no problems.
