I've got a 323i Baur living less than a mile from me. I don't consider them common by any standard but I'm sure they didn't build that many of them a year.

My brother-in-law is from SA, one of his friends has a 333i. He's planning a trip home next year and is going to try and import one when he comes back. fingers crossed!
