My dad works at Federal Mogul which is about 15 miles from the PTG shop. Man If I would have known there was an open house I would have jumped at the opportunity. Bill, how did you find out about it? That must have been quite a drive for you. I'd say its about an hour for me. Let me know if you have any info on future events.

Actually I'm at school in VA now, so it was only about an hour (but I would've driven the 4 from NJ!). Nick325is actually found out about it, and then we saw a thread on DTM about it.

Thats awesome. I've always wanted to see that place. We used to drive by there and see about 3 to 5 new m3s parked out front. Thats back when my dad still drove a 318ti though.. Never truly experienced ///m power until he got his roadster. Glad to get to look at those pictures though.

i was there too. I was completely blown away by the cars they had there. Dado is trying to buy one of the vented hoods like the one from the e36 race car there. The McLaren was outrageous as was the 320i turbo. The turbos they had sitting around were as big as 2 of my heads. ridiculous.

We hung out for awhile afterwards and those turbos came up actually. They're used on the 4 cylinder motors they had a couple of. They can boost up to 55psi, IIRC.

One of the engine builders had an e30 with the bmp kit, konig wheels and eibach springs. He also had an autopower roll cage and a custom exhaust. He was really cool to talk to. He talked about how those turbos that were laying out boost up to 55psi and turn bright red on the dyno.
We also learned about the mini drag car they had upstairs and the history of the cars in the warehouse. I am very happy that I went and I would go again any day. Plus I got the "why do we race? why do you breathe poster?" I have been trying to get that poster for awhile.
