BMW Motorsport Team PTG Facility Tour pics (no dice 56k)

Today, Nick (nick325is), Rico (e30speed), a few others and I attended an open house at Tom Milner's PTG facility in Winchester, VA. It was an awesome experience and I would do it again in a second and come from far away just to spend a couple hours there. Overall, I'd say there were about 120 cars there as a ballpark.

But I would NOT have the guts to park those cars like that. Way too close for me and what too expensive of cars :shock: !

...they are race cars not moooozeeeeuuuummmm pieces :P when they get into an incident on the track its minor or major damage...a lil nick is nothing on them... a real track car has battle scars :twisted:

They are like swtiches, on or off. And they are really heavy, they are built for 500+ ft-lbs of force so its a pretty strong multipuck disk. Plus most racing motors dont idle too well even when warm, the cams they put in mean most racecars can only stay running if they idle at like 2000rpm.

how much HP do you guys think that red quad puts out?

Normally .032 but on Wheaties it jumps to a remarkable .041. That is a good jump on just a fuel change.

yeah, you have a point. but you tell the owners you broke the rare CF made mirror ;)

I guess that's why Duct tape is called "racer's tape" It helps aerodynamics too :twisted:
