    Buy the cleanest, most spotless e30 you can find, and tune it sensibly because you're most likely going to daily drive it. Don't buy one that needs maintenence either, if you have have the money, because i baught mine with a fresh rebuild and complete bmw inspection II service done to it less than 5,000 miles beforehand. Consider the car you are going to drive before you consider what you want to do to it.

      That's good advice in my opinion. I hate the "project car" bullshit mentallity a lot of people on this forum has. It'd much rather have a more expensive but mint E30 than a $500 beater that I could spend more money on.
