    I have aluminum control arms?!

I don't know where to put this post really..... I guess this works

bmwannabe's post about tracing roots made me want to look back at some old emails from the PO of my car.

I knew he mentioned offset CA bushings.....but I have Al control arms.....crazy.

    :D  8)

When my car is getting fixed next week, I also need to check the spring #.... Cuz this is as much as I know:

I don't have a clue what the spring rates are - pretty stiff, almost race, but I
    don't have the records anymore.
I'm pretty sure they minimal weight savings won't make a difference, but it's cool to know the PO put a lot of $$$ in the suspension. He however, did not get a Sparco Strut Brace, which I just got. :P

    Well that's a pleasant surprise...

Ya know, all ya have to do is look to see if you have them. Not contact the PO.

I just talked to my PO and found out my car is silver! :P

I've only driven my car for like a month and a half maybe.....and since then it's been restin...... I wasn't ever under my car. :?

But recently, I jacked up the front, trying to spy the spring rates.....and noticed the shiny silvery control arms......but how was I supposed to know normal control arms aren't silvery?

But it was a pretty cool surprise, to say the least. It will also be a surprise I'm guessing to finally know the spring rates when the car is in the shop next week. The one spring I checked seemed to have the # marked up......and the rears can't really be assessed easily, but rack + impact gun should make it a simple task to check.

Call GC with the numbers on your springs...they'll give you the rates with pleasure
