North America gathering at Yellowstone, EPIC road trip 2013

Wicked idea, 1,200 miles isn't bad at all, looks like a beautiful drive too. My child will only be 6 months old and this trip seems pretty doubtful, but I'll stay tuned.

If it were me I would be spending more time in Jackson Hole in Teton as opposed to yellowstone. Yeah yellowstone is great but Teton is 2ed on my list of fav natioanl parks. The #1 spot is Glacier for me

I am trying to balance the best of all the worlds. Many people have not been to Yellowstone so that was a logical choice. I am also working on some special photo ops while there which you do not need a 4x4 to get to HAHA.

As for the motor home post, you can attend anyway you like, it is just defeating the purpose of the idea behind this post. This is to take your BMW or other fancy car on a long haul drive.

Interest has been good on the other forums as well. Looks like there will be caravans coming from all over the place. Will keep planning and post details as things pan out.

At 150miles away, I might just camp some nights in my bed at home. I've locked out a two week framed border in my calender for this.

Well it snowed here and in the park on Saturday (snow flakes about 1.5" in diameter in the middle of the afternoon), but in general we should be ok ;)

Yeah I know weather will be the wild card. When we were there the locals we chatted with said it snowed on the 4th of July.
