        @tirefryer - both of these cars seem like a good deal. If you are getting into a 20+ year old car, there is always going to be something to do.

          Agreed - I am in the process of finishing out the final touches on my 88 325ix 5 speed, so am preppared to expend some elbow grease on the new acquisition :)

                  I picked my 318is in much worse condition for $1500. My car came with a shitty idle, barely any exhaust, and a tranny that sounds like a blender full of marbles. (couldnt hear that over exhaust ). Picked it up in boston as well.
