    How much to ask for?

Ok I have an 88 325e that I was planning on selling for parts, but a friend of mine has just asked how much I would want for the whole thing. HE plans to race it. It was just in an accident. The front driver's side fender is beyond repair, the radiator is shot, and I'm sure it has some frame damage. The rest is in perfect shape. All the doors including the driver's side are still straight, the whole car is rust free, and the interior is perfect. The dash is uncracked, too. It started right after the accident, so it still runs, it just has major body damage. I figured I could get around a grand for parts. SHould I sell the whole thing to him? Or part it? What should I ask if I sell it to him? I know pics would be helpful, but I don't have any on my computer. I'll put some phone pics up later.

Sell the whole thing. Parting out is a major headache. Sell it for $1k or whatever he'll give you for it.

He is a pretty good friend, in fact were going to be roommates next semester. I'm thinking about asking for 1k and going from there. He said he didn't need the interior, so I can still sell that. So if anyone in SC or the surrounding states needs a tan cloth interior let me know.

800-1000 if you are gonna be living with him. without the interior you will be able to make up the difference easy. Sport interior or comfort?

an e30 non running in the bay area goes for 300$ and sits for a long time before someone looks at it.

for a whole 1000$ I would want it running but needing work.

but thats california pretty much the cheapest place to buy a car. AZ is cheap too and the south.

He is going to start racing it in chump car series. He said I could keep the doors, interior and dash to sell. I think I'll end up letting it go to him for 500 since I have the stuff that would be where money is anyways, and that way I don't have to take it apart totally. And i told him he has to let me help build it and drive it. It's a comfort interior.
