325ix CL Find (DC Area) Someone Buy This

So I found this 1991 DS 325ix with 150k miles on it. 5 speed. Black interior with seller claiming no tears in any seats, wasn't sure about the dash. Stock 15" weaves with no center caps, tires with ~500 miles and an unspecified set of wheels with winter tires. A few rust spots on the driver side rocker panel, sunroof, and fenders. A few dents here and there as well. Gas leak somewhere, but can be avoided by only filling tank halfway. I started off by asking r3v how much it is worth to convince my parents it was worth it to buy it and sell it for twice as much (I just bought an IX a few weeks ago,) but realistically I don't have the spare cash, time, or storage space. Hopefully someone can pick this up and take care of it. He said he would also take 1200 cash for it without the extra wheels/tires. Here is the ad:

I am calling him back tonight and will ask him if he minds me posting his phone number on here. Helluva deal

That's what I'm unsure of. I wouldn't buy without doing the jack test myself since the seller doesn't really seem to know too much about it. Says hes been driving it since 06 though as his DD with regular maintenance and no issues other than the fuel leak.

I would start at 3 or 4 thousand but you probably won't get more than 3 thousand for it.
It would be worth a lot more if it didin't have the rust, dents, and bad gas tank. The rust matters more than anything here, since that is not easily repaired and will never be the same, even when it is fixed.

it's a good buy at $1200 for sure, even if the VC was toast.
