Good points. I tend to agree with the 48-hour rule, though I understand there can be mitigating circumstances. I've had a couple of less-than-stellar buying experiences here, though the overwhelming majority of my transactions have been great. Had there been better/more effective communication involved with the iffy transactions, I probably wouldn't even mention them. But having to chase someone down for weeks and months for parts I've already paid for - and then for the refund when the deal wasn't as advertised - is nothing short of absurd. Especially when the seller is a long-time and (seemingly) well-respected member of this community.
Having recently entered the seller's arena, I'm trying to treat my buyers exactly how I'd want to be treated. That means tons of communication and being up front and honest about any and every little thing.
And people have been fucked sideways on eBay, and on pretty much every other forum and many other online retailers and at plenty of brick & mortars, etc. etc. Were you trying to be intentionally antagonistic or were you simply trying to draw attention to yourself?Comment

I agree we do have our share of dingleberries here, but mostly good. I consider myself a man of principle, but when I sell to people, it is pretty tough to get an item out in 48 hours. I am usually out of state 4 days a week. I do think a week or so is reasonable. That's about what I expect when I buy something.sigpic

Bought a couple sets of expensive wheels from far away along with a handful of parts through r3vers, always a pleasure. Props to e30lyf and euro3 for helping make this place great.Comment

I have bought from Suburu forums VW fourms and other BMW forums. I honestly LOVE buying and selling on r3v vs those other ones. But I was meaning more at it does not matter where you buy there is idiots that want to scam and pawn off junk. Should have been more clear.
Bigcoupe.com is one of the best places to sell on IMO, mostly older folks that don't haggle and know what they are looking for.
I was not trying to be Hostile and I don't seek out attention. I just state my opinion too freely and sometimes noobies take it too hard. For the record I fucking LOVE r3vlimited with all the asshole, dicks, morons, trolls and grammor nazies =)

I've had good experiences here and on most of the other forums i buy stuff from b/c i'm picky with who i buy from. But here is definitely the best so far.
I've sold a number of parts here too aswell and try to get stuff out as fast as possible. Like you i feel that things should be ready to ship within 48hrs or so but a week should be more than enough time to get something out the door."I came into this world, not chiefly to make this a good place to live in, but to live in it, be it good or bad" -Henry Thoreau-

I haven't been here very long but this seems like a close knit place and most people seem to respect each other. The only other forum I have ever been a part of was the gmc typhoon forum so you can imagine how small and tight knit that was. I have found useful info and the purchases I have made through here have gone beautifully. I'm just glad that the two cars I have chosen have had great forums to go with them. Once a forum gets super big I think it easier for people to come and go and take advantage of people in the process.
Thanks r3v!!!Comment
