I've never seen a muscle car with its hood popped unless the officer liked what he was looking at lol. Its mainly imports like hondas and nissans since the swap trend is huge.

no muscle car guys get hassled. literally the other day my buddy with cams and strait pipes cruises by a cop in his mustang. they pull over my buddy in the honda with the stock exhaust behind him.

I drove my S50 swapped E30 for over 4 years without an issue.

I've also never had an issue with the turbo car. When I rebuilt it I decided to paint the intercooler black to keep it more stealth.

from what i've seen, 5/0 profiles the driver not the car. the street racers are the ones they are after.

it's possible some cops still profile by skin color, but the common denominator among the three i've seen with popped hoods was youth and look. backward ball caps, tattoos and facial hair.
not that i judge people that way.
