    I'm getting there.

Went to replace the front pads. Front left went swimmingly. Front right....

motherfucker is seized. PO decided it would be a good idea to disable the pad wear sensors. Then (from what it looks) we decide to go wheeling in a shit ton of sand.

Worldpac wants $250 my cost for a caliper. Fuck that. This thing is going to sit for a bit and think about what it's done.

Stay the course Slammin!! Don't scrap it yet. Part of the joy of british car ownership is the sheer amount of drinking you get to do while solving these complex and frustrating issues. Back when I had my Spitfire I found I consumed atleast 75% more Miller Lite while working on it than I did my E30. Shit just usually went right with the E30 and I ended up drinking less.

        Haha finally some encouragement!

I've got to put tires on the M3 and 330 so the Rover will have to wait.

I was so looking forward to driving it this morning.

pull engine (Motor hasnt done anything to deserve what has been done to it), use shell for target practice. Preferably with heavy artillery......

all joking aside, once you get past the bullshit issues caused by PO negligence, you should have a decent ride
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

That's what I'm hoping. I'm gonna get a grease gun and hit all of the U joints and zerk fittings. Change the diff fluids, trans fluid, etc.

When in doubt, flush it out.

Its a cool ride stick with it, im looking at getting a mitsubishi montero, isuzu trooper, or an old range rover or a disco 1. I just love that tall boxy off roader feel.

Man, too bad your out west! My friend (who I got the Rover from, but he's not the one who screwed it up) has a Montero he is selling.

That's next, and adjusting the pins too.

                        BUMP:

Got my caliper problems sorted out, finally. After being sent the wrong one, then sending it back, etc, etc.....whatever.

Bled the mother last night as per the Rovers North instructions. Great, we have breaks, really, really tight brakes.

...and now my ABS and the o-!-o light is on. They flash when I start moving, then eventually will just stay on. I have no idea what o-!-o means, but assume it's something with the trans/transfer case?

Didn't get an owners manual with the truck.

I've yet to get to the ABS diag procedure here: Rover Classic ABS diag.

...but was wondering if anyone had any idea of what I could have messed up. Bleeding went great. Not as bad as I though it would be. Pedal is very stiff, if not overly, IMO.

                        Thanks!

Did the ABS blink code and got back 2-3: Basically, check the pump wiring, fuse, etc, etc. Check for 12v at pins 9 and 11, 27 and 30.

I think I cleared it, but we'll see.
