EXACTLY. look at carbon uses in the racing community and you will be discusted in the appearance, but at the same time astonished with the weight savings

You should make it go over the radiator fender to fender. Maybe even replace the plastics behind the headlights.

I love the fog blanks... will look great on my alpine If the price is reasonable I want

If we are just going for aesthetics...
                  how about some door handles
Or something resembling the NLA Shadowline kit
or CF euro bumper wraps or plate fillers

                  just my .02
Don't care for the rad cover as the hinge gets in the way of it being as large as it should be, like in the subaru pictured

would CF work as a heat shield??

will be repairing a pretty rare E30 kamei front spoiler with skinning the back with carbon fiber to strengthen and repair some cracks.(already sold to my friend)

                          how it should look

Yea something like this would be awesome!! They are referred to as "cooling plates" and are made to help direct airflow to the radiator. At least than they would have some sort of performance gain rather than just a cosmetic piece.

Blech. That's the biggest thing I hate about new cars.

Plastic, carbon fiber or otherwise, I HATE covers that cover up everything inside the engine bay.

The only carbon fiber pieces I will buy for my e30, or any car really, will be OEM fitting body panels that reduce weight. Replacing little bits just to have it as carbon fiber always looks tacky to me.
