Looks like it really needs paint on hood/trunk and roof. You could just repaint those and vinyl the roof black.

I did a vincheck for you and the car is clean, 24 rating out of 29. 4 PO, original CA car, did rack on almost 70K miles in its first 2 years of life though. Recently moved to MA in 2003. Last documented milage was 180,xxx in 2008. I trust that this car is virtually rust free. 2K would be a great deal on it.

Question for the e30 value experts, how much would a example like this that had a good respray, had 120K miles and was virtually rust free be worth in the open market?

ALso anyone know what that yellow coloring or what makes the intake manifold turn yellow? my e30 has that as well...

Since we are on the topic of paint. I wonder if I could have a body shop paint the hood trunk and roof if the paint is in decent condition on the rest of the car.... Looks like it would blend OK.

Yea thats what i believe is best way to go. Have the hood/trunk painted. THen do a really good polish/detail job on the rest of body.

THe roof will be tough to blend together without a full respary. Best option is to do a black vinyl wrap. It would give it a nice aggressive look that would match the black moldings well.

Well if I get the car, which is the most likely scenario, I will have to get a photoshop of a black roof to see if I like the roof in black.

It's a c-list find my friend! I called first on it and explained my intentions for the car and the owner really likes the sound of what I want to do and wants his car to go to a good home so he is giving me first crack at buying it.

I'm sure it kills my chances at much negotiating as he has gotten like 20 inquiries since my phone call.

I have been searching day and night on the list since I sold my last e-30 by mistake. (It's a long story LOL)

Bought the car for $1500! I can't believe how little rust it has. LIKE NONE. Amazing for an E30 that has been in NE since 2004. Paint is JUNK. I'm picking it up tonight, I'll post pics over the weekend.
